Another group had the meeting room at Denny's, so the venue was switched to prevent confusion and conflict.

========NOTICE VENUE CHANGE========

It has come to our attention that another group in town already has the meeting room in Denny's reserved. To eliminate conflict, we will relocate to the nearby Applebee's.

March's Munch will be held at Applebee's off Stadium on Tuesday, the 19th, from 7pm to 9pm. Come meet other like-minded people.
We will try and get a table away from other patrons if possible. Look for the rose on the table. We would love to have you attend!

If you plan on attending, it would be great to have you RSVP here or on the event on FetLife so we know how many tables to ask for.

Creative Protocols For D/s Relationships:
I'm fascinated by protocols and hope to one day have that as part of a D/s relationship.  Always keen on learning more about it.

Sounds like an awesome rope class that would be really smart to take.  Knowing what to do if something bad happens helps with thinking smart and staying calm.

All the Two Knotty Boys stuff  cause...rope!!!

All of Rapture's classes (Caning, Poly Relationships, and Things Bottoms Don't Tell You)...because all of it includes things I am interested in or want to learn more about.

Pressure Points for, yes please! Pressure points are awesome.

Impact 101/201...cause OMG impact is the best!!!

Kinky Combat: Combating Wrestling, Grappling, and Fighting:
At Spanks I spent about 1.5 hours watching their demo in the mentoring dungeon and getting some 1 on 1 instruction on improving my skills.  They are so super knowledgeable and great presenters.  And I love learning new techniques and practicing my wrestling skills.

Proactive Submission:
Learning better ways to communicate in D/s relationships seems like something that should always be sought to improve on.

Following the Leader:
A class that seems like a good topic that anyone who identifies on the right of the / could benefit from.

Science of BDSM:
The psychology and general science of the BDSM lifestyle have always fascinated me, and I have really enjoyed other classes on the topic in the past.

Intimacy and Vulnerability in D/s:
Another class that seems overall beneficial for D/s relationship stuff.

There is so much overlap, and this years class list really excites me due to all the great classes being offered.

To answer my own question, here at the classes that look appealing to me:

  • Dungeon/Play space Etiquette - I think it would be a good class to attend for anyone new to the scene, or even as a refresher for those previously in the scene and just getting back in.  Personally, getting their recommended things to tell new people in our own community sounds appealing.
  • Impact 101/201 - Being a big fan of impact myself, I have been using impact in my scenes for over a decade.  That being said though, you'd be amazed at the little tips that can be gathered from these classes even now.  If you're new to impact play this would be a great pairing for you.  If you're experienced, it would be a great refersher and a potential learning point for something new that just might make your bottoms squirm.
  • Pressure Points - for Pleasure! - This is a GREAT class that I have attended twice now.  Each time I pick up points that I had forgotten or just flat out didn't know.  He usually markers them up so that it is clear where they are.  If you bring a partner, there is a 'try it out' time for each set of points.  If you don't, perhaps you can find a partner in the class!
  • Proactive Submission: Inspiring the new or stagnant Power Exchange relationship - I believe this is a class I attended once before, the topic is a good one in that a lot of dynamics aren't how to interact in a truly fulfilling way.  This class might help inspire or remind attendees what might be possible.
  • Executive Power Exchange - Another great class by this presenter duo.  I attended it once and know of a few people that truly identified with it.  It is a very interesting take on things and can be truly empowering with the right dynamic and people.
  • Intimacy & Vulnerability in D/s - This class description sounds fascinating.  I have found personally that intense dynamics tend to have a lot of intimacy and vulnerability, which can be rather scary.  This would be a class I'd definitely consider attending.
  • All of the Knotty Boy classes - I don't see a point breaking these down into four listings.  I've seen one of their classes before, and seen many of their videos.  I know that I've enjoyed learning from them and would enjoy seeing them again.  Then again, I'm a big fan of rope!
  • Kinky Combat: Competitive Wrestling, Grappling, and Fighting - This looks like it would be a good one.  I know I enjoy wrestling on mats and pinning people.  It pulls out my inner primal and can be a really fun way to let that be expressed.  I think learning the safety concerns and possibly learning new moves would be awesome.
  • The Dominant Dialog takes a field trip - Being a Dominant, this is the class I go to.  Switches and submissives have their own classes.  These last classes might seem silly perhaps, but honestly, they aren't a bad comedown from the weekend.  I have enjoyed every one that I have attended.

All in all, there are a LOT of amazing classes going on.  Unfortunately, several overlap.  I would be hard pressed to figure out which to attend over another.

What are your favorites and why?  :)

I'm curious as to who is going to Beat Me in St. Louis this spring.  It is April 26th-28th and is always an amazing "local" event to attend.  The schedule has been posted and I'd love to know what classes people are looking forward to in particular, and why!  Please feel free to share your favorites with everyone.  You might just get someone excited to attend a class they hadn't really considered previously!

July's Munch will be held at The Heidelberg on Tuesday, the 16th, from 7pm to 9pm.  Come out to meet others and for some good conversations.  Just don't scare the staff!  ;)  We would love to have you attend!  We are usually able to get the room to the right, but, not a guarantee.  Look for the red rose drawing!

If you plan on attending, it would be great to have you RSVP here or on the event on FetLife so we know how many tables to ask for.
