Public Events / 04/08/20 - April Random Virtual Munch & Jackbox
« Last post by Edge on April 08, 2020, 01:24:21 pm »
I know it is a little last minute, but I will be hosting a virtual munch & Jackbox game session this evening at 7:30pm.  You can use your phone or computer to connect to the virtual munch by going to this 8x8 link: https://8x8.vc/ThankAltriaForJackbox

If you are using it on your phone, clicking that link will prompt you to download the correct app.

From there, on whatever device, connect to htttps://jackbox.tv and you'll find a code on the shared screen from 8x8.  If anyone can connect early that would be great so I can check the sound factor.  I believe games are limited to 8 players at a time, but you can be an "audience member" as well.

This was a fair amount of fun when I tested out things last weekend with some friends.  If you don't have dual monitors, then I suggest doing one thing on one device, and the other on the other.  Ie: I connect on my phone for 8x8 since I have a cam on there, but use my computer for the Jackbox.

Feel free to message me here if you have any trouble!

My positive is that I haven't gotten too stir crazy yet.  And I'm glad I have Marvel movies to fill my evenings. :)

We brought pizza home last night, which always tastes wonderful, although it's really BAD for us!
Randy decided to take off work even though we don't have BMSL, and today is his first day.
I'm still working but doing it at home.
Most negatives have some silver lining somewhere. Also, most positives have some thorns in there too. I like to recognize both.
I do miss you guys terribly, although it's nice to have some home time to get stuff done.

I saw the picture.  You are sane - at least with regards to this.  That person might not be, but that's another story.  Reminds me of a story I read yesterday about people dressing up as inflatable dinosaurs having a safe social distancing parade, with several in a row walking down the sidewalk, 6' apart from each other, to just get out of the house and have fun.  I guess it makes sense though, since Armadillos are generally found only by themselves. :)

My positive for yesterday was getting to work from home in my PJs all day.  :)  Yay for comfort!

Today's positivity comes in the form of humor.  I was driving down Stadium, over by the mall. Walking down the sidewalk, there was a person sized armadillo...like a mascot.  It was wearing only a cowboy hat and a red bandana. As I'm driving by, it starts to remove its red bandana in a very strip tease manner.

At first, I though I was losing my mind. All the stress and isolation of Covid-19 had gotten to me and now I was hallucinating strip tease armadillos.  But I circled the block. And I got the best photo proof I could get while still driving (shame on me I know). Others have seen this photo. It is as bonkers as it sounds.  I think I'm still sane?

Today I felt positive because I've been working on a new embroidery project and I've made enough progress to see that it is turning out like it looks in my head!  It is an abstract picture of a river running through a desert.

I'm feeling positive about getting a lot of little things done around the house.  Oh, and for pizza! :)

There are a ton of daffodils in the yard across the street...like dozens.  Today with the sun shining, they look so vibrant! Plus one of my indoor succulents is in full bloom with bright yellow flowers.  They sort of smell like Children's Tylenol...which is an odd fragrance for a flower to have.

Times are tough right now.  Uncertainty...fear...these things are prevalent.  I am missing my friends and being social, and I'm sure many of you are as well. It can be really tough to not get bogged down in the negativity of this situation.

Therefore I'm going to do something different and I encourage anyone who wants to, to join me!  I am going to try, every day, to reply to this thread with something positive about the day.  Something made you/me smile? Post it.  You/I saw something beautiful? Post it.  Saw a clever joke (not pandemic related)? Post it!

Let this be a brief refuge from everything else going on in the world, and a chance to focus on the good things in life.

Welcome lilslavegirl!  Glad to have you on the PR forums.  We are definitely a group of people into the BDSM lifestyle.  As kwiksilver stated, we have open events twice a month, they are posted on our Calendar here and on FetLife.  There is one on Thursday of this week actually.  Hope you can make it out at some point and make some new friends.  :)
